Not to be confused with lesser companies in the area with extremely similar names, and unlike other chimney sweeps, we vacuum as we clean the chimney and provide our own dust sheets to keep your property clean and soot-free.
We use flexible rods by hand, thus treating your installation and appliance with the care and respect it needs.
We reserve the power brushes for thick creosote as they can sometimes cause damage your flexible liner, especially if it is over 5 years old.

Cleansweep Vac Services has been providing outstanding service, sweeping open fires, gas fires, boilers, pellet stoves, multi-fuel and wood burners for over 35 years and even have a mention in the museum in Hitchin!
In 2012 Tony and Liz’ son Gareth, an ex-royal marine and his partner Heather took over the family business extended services to the Herts, Beds and Bucks areas that are within 20 miles of Hitchin. Look for our silver vans in your area.
Gareth is a registered HETAS installer with GTD Installation Ltd and so brings lots of experience to the sweeping table which we are incorporating into an online chat to diagnose problems with your appliance such as how to stop animals nesting in your chimney; changing your fire type, and can even show you how to light your fire if needs be.
Modern
We use efficient routes to save fuel and also share an electric vehicle with our sister company GTD Installations Ltd, helping reduce our carbon footprint.
Chimney sweeping certificates are now issued electronically rather than printed & posted.

Industry Standard Chimney Sweeping
A logburner or multi-fuel stove that has been used correctly and burning good quality fuel at the correct temperature can be very clean and may only take around 20 minutes. The CO alarm will also be checked and the fireplace or logburner cleaned including the ceramic glass.
Brushes and rods are used and a vacuum cleaner to remove the falling dust. The opening of the fireplace and the carpet or flooring will be covered to avoid the soot coming back into your room. The whole of the chimney will be swept until you can see the brush sticking out of the chimney as required by the Guild of Master Chimney Sweeps and HETAS. All checks required by a HETAS sweep are undertaken for a fraction of the cost.

- Sweeping certificates and receipts are sent electronically at no extra cost.
- Printed certificates can be mailed for an additional fee.
